give me an E... give me an R... give me an I... give me an N!

what does that spell??? ERIN!!!!!!!

this post is about 3 weeks late, but it is a necessary one. My dear dear friend Erin came to visit me to take our engagement pictures. Little did she know what she would find when she arrived. A frazzled bride, with no idea how to plan a wedding, or even where to start, with no dress, no invitations, no reception location, no NOTHING! This girl is truly her mother's daughter. Martha Stewart junior if you will. She helped me figure out what invitations I wanted, how to word them, took me to try on dresses, was with me to document when I found THE ONE, and helped me decide on where to hold the reception. Really this wedding would not be happening without her, and I haven't even talked about the amazing pictures that she took. This girl has talent. She made us feel so comfortable- Josh told me later that he had the best time during the shoot. Now that is saying something when a guy has a fabulous time getting his picture taken over 300 times! These pictures really turned out wonderful. They are exactly what I wanted- and she made us look good! Erin also made an incredible impression on my roommates. In fact I think that they like her better than me now. I am not kidding. She already has plans with one roommate to start a photography business and the other one kept asking her to come play guitar hero in her bedroom with her. They both want her phone number so they can keep in touch- and both said that it felt like they had known her for years already and were so sad that she had to leave..... sorry guys.... you will just have to suffer through with me I guess.... (jeez!) Even Josh's mom said that she felt like Erin was a part of her family after just spending one evening with her. It was so fun showing her off and bringing her everywhere with me. Seriously everyone loves this girl where ever she goes. But I think I love her the most. I don't remember when I have had to much fun. I laughed until my head hurt and my abs were sore. Thank you Erin for everything you do for me. Thank you for helping me so much, for giving me continual words of encouragement when I call you freaking out, I love you!!!

Christmas etc...

Sorry that this post is late- it's been busy around here, plus we were without power for a day this week because of the incredible storm that has been hitting northern California- and that one day screwed our internet up! So now I am back, full force, and am ready to post pictures from our trip back to CT. It was possibly the best trip EVER. It could not have gone more perfectly. My parent's loved Josh and he fit right into my family. It was amazing. I knew it was going to go well, I just didn't think it was going to go THAT well :) We had so much fun. We took him to NYC for the first time, saw Rockerfeller Center, Central Park, Bryant Park, Macy's, the Temple and Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall to see the Rockettes, the Empire State Building and Times Square. It was a full day and by then end we were seriously pooped. We also took Josh to meet the Massachusetts family- he got to meet my Mimere (dad's mom)- and eat lots of yummy food. My family is all about the food- really it's the most important part of any get together. I also got to show him the old buildings at Yale where my family used to go to church when my dad was Branch President of the student branch there. That was really special for me because I haven't been back to see that building probably in over 10 years. I loved the time spent in that building- and it was exactly how I remember it- smells and all. Talk about sensory memory! So here are the pictures from our trip- Hopefully I will be better about blogging. The wedding planning is just a tad stressful. Anyone want to be my wedding planner and do it all for me? That would be great thanks...
