New York City

This past weekend was amazing! My friend Kat came to NYC on business and invited me to come and spend the weekend with her. Everything was perfect- good food, good friends, amazing weather, great shopping and a fantastic broadway show. Friday I got into Grand Central Station at about 5 pm and met Kat at her building. After she finished a few thing up, we went to our hotel room (amazing!) and dropped off our stuff, then headed out to find something to eat. We of course had no idea where to go, so I called my friend Dave http://ourface.blogspot.com/ (check him out, he is amazing) to find out where we should eat and it turned out that he and 2 other friends were eating right around the corner from where we were. After dinner we all went and saw Mission Impossible 3 at the Ziegfeld Theatre (beautiful- the theatre, not the movie- although the movie was great as well). Then Saturday, after a lazy morning, Kat and I went and had lunch in Bryant park, explored Times Square (her first time ever!) and bought tickets for The Drowsy Chaperone. We had some time to kill before the show started so we went down to Canal street to be attacked and molested by people trying to sell knock off Prada, Gucci and Kate Spade. We ended up exploring China Town and Little Italy. If you want good Italian food go to Mulberry street- yum yum and yum! After dinner we hurried back to Times Square where the theatre was. I highly recommend The Drowsy Chaperone to anyone going to the city. It was very fluffy- but very funny and entertaining and great music!http://www.thedrowsychaperone.com All in all it was a fantastic weekend- I love that city so much. Being there this weekend just made me deepen my resolve to live there some day. (pictures coming at a later date)
